Make your own jewellery kit - Kumihimo bracelet starter set - ages 12 years+
Kumihimo is the ancient Japanese art of braiding. In Japanese "kumihimo" means the gathering threads. It is a great technique, easy to learn and creates so many different designs. Just changing the threads used; the colour combinations; the shape of the disc or adding beads gives you really different styles of Kumihimo jewellery.
This kit provides you with full instructions and everything you need to braid your own kumihimo bracelet - braiding disc, cords, ends, clasp and extender, glue. Once you have this starter set you will then only need to buy cords and a clasp to make further bracelets.
On ordering the starter set I will check with you which cords you would like. The thicker the cord the thicker the bracelet. Please look at my cord listings for more details. There are various colours available. For a first bracelet I would recommend starting with a 1mm cord.
