Busy Beading is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should I ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

This policy may be changed occasionally by updating this page. To make sure that you are happy with any changes then please check this policy from time to time. This policy is effective from September 2021.

How is information collected?

Busy Beading only collects information when it is directly given. When you sign up for my newsletter, book a workshop or purchase products; you may choose to voluntarily give certain information – for example, by filling in a request to be added to our mailing list, booking a class or placing an order. All this information requires a direct action by you at that time in order for me to receive it. I will not sell or rent your personal information to anyone at anytime.

I may collect the following information:

  • contact information including email address, postal address and telephone number

What is done with the information gathered:

This information is needed to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

  • Internal record keeping.

  • To process your order, deal with any associated queries and to provide customer support.

  • For marketing purposes where you have provided your affirmative consent, e.g. you have signed up to my newsletter.

  • For tax purposes and to comply with HMRC requirements.

  • For the purpose of my legitimate interests e.g. providing and improving my services.

I retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide you with my services, to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes and to enforce my agreements. For tax purposes, I will retain details of your order for 6 years, in order to comply with HMRC requirements.

You should be aware though, that once you have used these links to leave my site, I do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, I cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. Controlling your personal information:

If you believe that any information that I am holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to or email me as soon as possible. I will correct any information found to be incorrect.

I do not collect or have access to your credit/debit card details. Your payment details are sent directly to the Payment Service Provider (PayPal), which has it’s own privacy policy and framework – please refer to the PAYPAL site for further information.
